AQU Catalonia has accredited with the highest possible mark 11 doctoral programmes in the URV, highlighting the adequacy of the R&D staff and the quality of results.
URV coordinates 15 doctoral programmes that have undergone through the accredation process; 11 of them have obtained the mark of "accredited in progress to excellence" and 4 have obtained a "passed accreditation" within the framework of the process of verification, monitoring, modification and accreditation of official degrees (VSMA Framework) carried out by the Agency for the Quality of the Catalan Universities(AQU Catalunya).
Several external evaluation committees (CAE) and specific evaluation committees (CEA) have evaluated the doctoral programmes, which have obtained the accreditation report from AQU Catalunya in different years.
Between 2020 and 2023, a total of 15 accreditation visits were organized by URV, in which the CAEs were able to learn first-hand how the doctoral programmes work and interviewed members of the doctoral programmes (management team, R&D staff, doctoral students, graduates and employers).
Regarding the 10 interuniversity doctoral programs coordinated by other universities, 9 have already obtained their accreditation.
