Anthropology and Communication- Research lines and supervisors

Description of the research lines included in the doctoral program:

Medical antropology and global health : Mental health, ethnopsychiatry and cross-cultural psychiatry, food, addiction studies, history of science (anthropology, medicine and psychiatry), drug studies and marginalization processes, and international health; are some of the issues on in this line of work.

Communication and risk: It covers the fields of strategic communication in its wide sense such as consulting services in political communication, planning of institutional communication, planning of communicative campaigns for corporations and institutions, management of company, public institutions and political parties press offices, public relations in the mentioned areas and journalistic specialization in topics related to politics -electoral campaigns, political crisis management-, institutions, industry and the environment.

Contemporary identities: urban spaces and representation. Some of the subjects studied in this area are gender, sexuality, migrations, transnational studies, new religious forms, ethnographic and biographical narratives, organitzations, youth studies and media.
