The program in Health, Psychology and Psychiatry provide a broad vision of the basic and applied processes in Psychology, Psychiatry, Health and Neurosciences. The lines of research are led by specialists integrated into research groups recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The program offers methodological lines led by the Department of Psychology aimed at the development and application of techniques for the evaluation and assessment of behavior and for the development and application of psychometric models for the evaluation of personality.
The lines of research in Psychiatry are led by professionals from the Pere Mata Institute, Reus University Psychiatric Hospital, and include both basic and applied research in the field of psychiatry, clinical psychology and intellectual disability.
In the field of clinical psychology, the lines related to nutrition and mental health, developmental disorders and child and adolescent psychopathology, led by professionals from the Department of Psychology and the Department of Basic Medical Sciences of the URV. Also in this field the lines of evaluation and neuropsychological intervention.
The lines of research in Pain also led by researchers from the Department of Psychology, include the validation and development of an instrument for the evaluation of pain, as well as the study of different interventions in subjects with pain, and the evaluation and intervention of chronic childhood pain.
Within the Health field, the lines in Neurotoxicology and the development of Preclinical Models are also offered, led by professors from the Department of Psychology and the Department of Basic Medical Sciences.
Within the scope of Social Psychology are the lines of evaluation and psychological intervention in the social, health and work fields, led by the URV Department of Psychology. These lines include research in human resources and quality models; health and psychosocial risks and entrepreneurship and innovation.
