Specific admission criteria of the doctoral programme
In addition to the general entrance requirements for doctoral studies, applicants for admission to the doctoral programme must meet the following specific requirements and merits:

Basic training in one of the disciplines of research on human evolution, the Quaternary and prehistory.

Experience in field or laboratory work.
Merits

Assessment of the research project: originality of the research, feasibility of the project, scientific quality of the project, possibility of publishing results in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and interdisciplinary and innovative research.

Assessment of the curriculum vitae: previous experience in the field of archaeology of the Quaternary, human evolution and human palaeoecology; the academic record, especially the final grade and the position in the master's degree (or similar); publications, international experience and awards received; proof of language skills (Catalan, Spanish and English); and letters of recommendation.

Assessment of the student's motivation for entrance to the doctoral degree.
